Getting Started on oDesk

The initial step is always the most difficult part. Not being to able to know what to do can sometimes be frustrating and you'll end up quitting before you even get started. This is why I am guiding you with a step-by-step guide on how you should begin so you can end the process of signing up on oDesk.

1. Go to oDesk.com by typing http://www.odesk.com on your browser or by simply clicking this link
   
2. On the upper right hand corner, click on "Create an Account"
   
3. Choose "Freelance Provider" if you want to earn money on your own, but if you want to start your own company of Providers, choose "Provider Company".
   
4. Fill in the form with your personal details and wait for the email verification to be sent to your email.
   
5. Once the verification has been received, click on the link in it and follow the next steps indicated in the screen.
   

After these steps, you will probably not know what you should do next. But for me, the next important thing you should do is to pass the oDesk Readiness Test for Providers. The steps to passing the oDesk Readiness Test will be discussed in my next posts, so make sure to keep posted.
